This is a Community Welcome event to celebrate the arrival of the young volunteers from Nepal and the UK to Plymouth. The Lord Mayor will open the event and there will be lots of activities that will enable everyone to get to know the volunteers, who will be living and working in Plymouth for three months.
The Zebra Collective is Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) Plymouth partner on its Global Xchange Programme. Global Xchange is a partnership between VSO, The British Council and other partner organisations around the world. Working directly with the UK Department for International Development (DFID), Global Xchange is part of the pilot year of International Citizen Service (ICS).
