Zebra moves online – for now
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Zebra Collective is moving much of its work online. Whilst we will continue to deliver face to face sessions, on which our reputation is based, we are also open to the potential benefits and opportunities that online work can offer – not least, the benefits to our environment associated with reduced travel.
The quality and ethos of our work will be unchanged. We will create opportunities: for discussion and debate; so for example, in our Equalities Training to explore the issues of culture, race and difference; to develop knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislation; to develop skills in challenging, and for reflection on our own experiences.
Our preferred platform is Zoom, which offers plenty of flexible and creative tools to facilitate our delivery, e.g. easy access to ‘break-out’ rooms for small group discussion.
We are aware that there are other communication and video conferencing platforms, and each organisation may have a preference and reasons for their choice. We take this issue of security very seriously and therefore make every effort to ensure all our devices are configured in line with the guidance issued by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) for end-user devices.
If Zoom is not acceptable to your agency we will consider other platforms, e.g. Microsoft Teams.
Our face to face offer remains, when the environment allows us to follow Government social distancing guidelines.
